I absolutely LOVE making friends with the authors that I am fortunate enough to work with on our site and just because we can strike up a good, friendly, working relationship does not mean we give biased reviews. As a matter of fact, I feel quite the opposite - the better the relationship between author and blogger, the better the review because the blogger feels comfortable knowing the author respects them as a critic. Although I love to read, I am not usually a fan of murder mysteries. However, I was compelled to read Sandra Brannan's book in one sitting! I'm still not certain that I'm now a fan of murder mysteries, but without a doubt, I am now a full-fledged, faithful fan of Sandra Brannan, because Liv Bergen is so full of LIFE!
